How it Started.
In 1947, William Bauld launched his brokerage, WCL Bauld Insurance, in Bedford, Nova Scotia. By 1975, Klaus Wuerr, an experienced general agent, purchased the business. Klaus was a trailblazer in the local insurance scene, steadily growing the client base.
New Beginnings.
In 2008, business ownership was formally transferred to Klaus’ daughter, Sara, and son-in-law, Steve Earle. Steve played a leadership role in growing the business, focusing on innovative and digital technologies. The company also adopted a simplified name, Bauld Insurance, and centralized staff and operation in a newly renovated head office just off Bedford Highway.

Over the years, Bauld Insurance has built client relationships by providing honest advice and insurance expertise. A steady commitment to staff training and education has helped Bauld Insurance stake out and maintain a leadership position.
